He is the 1995 Greater New York High School champion and also the 1996 Greater New York Junior champion. He earned an IM norm in the 1998 World Open. Dean Ippolito: Invitational Rating 2478: Dean Ippolito, 19, is from Boonton Township, N.J. Dean's numerour scholastic chess accomplishments include first place finishes at the 1994 U.S. Cadet Championship, 1994 Denker Tournament of High School Champions, and 1996 National High School Championship. He is a 10-time member of the Pressman All-American Team. Dean was recently awarded the prestigious Samford Chess Scholarship, by Chess-in-the Schools in New York City. He is pursuing a career as a professional chessplayer.

Shearwood McClelland III; Invitational Rating 2261: Shearwood (Woody) McClelland III, 20, lives in Teaneck, N.J. Woody is the 1997 U.S. Junior Open champion. He has won numerous scholastic titles, including 1990 New Jersey Elementary Champion, 1993 National Junior High Co-Champion, 1994 National 11th Grade Champion, and 1995 National 12th Grade Champion. In 1996, Woody received the National Scholar-Chessplayer Award. He attend Harvard University.

Michael A. Mulyar; Invitational Rating 2463: Michael A. Mulyar, 19, is from Westminster, Colo., and attends Yale University in New Haven Conn. Michael is a three-time Colorodo State Champion (1992, 1993, 1995), and he has represented the U.S. in international competition.
